If I have an iCPG, JRCALC Plus, or CFR Plus account, do I automatically get access to ParaPass?
No, unfortunately not.
If you have a JRCALC Plus account under certain ambulance trusts, you may use ParaPass to take quizzes for PGDs, but you won’t be able to access the other areas of ParaPass unless you have also bought a separate ParaPass subscription.

All preexisting JRCALC:CPD customers’ subscriptions have been upgraded to ParaPass subscriptions.
If you have been using the JRCALC:CPD app, there is no need to get a new app for ParaPass. All you need to do is update your current JRCALC:CPD app in the app store you use. You’ll be able to log in with your existing details on the new app as well.

Your login details will remain exactly the same as before.
How can I get access to ParaPass if I am already a Standby CPD user?
Standby CPD customers have been granted access to ParaPass. If you’re on Apple, then you can follow the instructions on this page.

Please note that this is different to how the previous JRCALC:CPD app worked, so make sure that you are ready to lose access to the content when you cancel your subscription.
Once the auto-renew has been cancelled, you will still be able to access the content until the end of your subscription period.

You will be sent an email with a link to set your password. This email may go into your spam folder, so make sure you check there as well.

Can I download ParaPass on multiple devices?
Yes, you can download it on multiple Apple and Android devices, according to Apple and Google restrictions.
Does the app sync with the website/my other devices?
Yes, the app will sync automatically once it is connected to the internet. The website will also sync with other computers.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes, the app works offline. However, please be aware that your progress won’t sync between devices or with the website until you are connected to the internet again. New questions, Standby CPD issues and case scenarios will only become available when re-connected to the internet.
Where can I download my certificate(s)?
Please note that certificates will be generated for each quiz you complete rather than for entire topics.
Once you have completed a quiz by answering each question correctly at least once, you can download a certificate showing that you have completed that quiz.
On the mobile app, you can download your certificate from the results screen and email a PDF version of it to yourself or to your organisation.
Your results and certificates will stay accessible on the ParaPass website, even if you cancel your subscription.
I have two separate ParaPass accounts, can I merge these?
No. We appreciate that you may wish to merge the account which you use on ParaPass to complete your PGD quizzes (this account will be linked to your JRCALC Plus account and access is therefore granted via your trust), with a personal subscription to ParaPass, so that all your results are under one account. However, we advise against this.
Merging what is essentially a trust account with a personal account can cause complications later on and raises difficulties in relation to GDPR. Unfortunately at this time, we are not able to merge ParaPass accounts.
How can I get help/give feedback?
On the dashboard, you have the ability to ‘Send Feedback’ to us. We’re always happy to help with any queries and to receive your comments on the app.
You can also get in touch with us directly by emailing us at apps@class.co.uk or calling our office at 01278 427 800.
ParaPass for PGDs
How do I use ParaPass to become authorised for my PGDs?
Some trusts have allowed their users to become virtually authorised to work under PGDs after completing an assessment on the PGD via ParaPass.
This works in conjunction with our related JRCALC Plus app, available for all UK ambulance trusts. (Please note: Trusts maintain authority over the allocation of subscriptions to their staff. Eligibility criteria varies between trusts, so please confirm with your directorate if you are unsure whether you are eligible for access.)
If your trust has opted for the PGD authorisation process and you have access to the PGDs via JRCALC Plus, you can easily become authorised to work under a PGD for your trust.
To do this, you should first read the PGD on the JRCALC Plus app to become familiar with it. You can then click on the Take Quiz button at the top of the PGD, which will automatically take you to ParaPass. There, select the PGD quiz you wish to take.
Please ensure you are using the same email address and password to log into ParaPass as you are using for JRCALC Plus. This will most likely be your trust email address.
Once you have successfully completed the quiz on ParaPass, go back to JRCALC Plus.
This process also works in the same way via the web versions of JRCALC Plus and ParaPass.
