Jessica Willetts

Advanced Paramedic

Jessica Willetts started working for the ambulance service in 2007 after a career in IT. She graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2010 as a paramedic. She has worked for both East of England and South East Coast ambulance service, where she qualified as a Paramedic Practitioner. In 2015, Jessica worked on an innovative pilot combining 999 response with a home visiting service for GPs which received national attention. She qualified as an independent prescriber in 2019. She continues to study, having completed a PGCert in Paramedic Practice and is currently completing an MSc. For the last four years she has been working for a GP surgery seeing a wide variety of patients in clinic and in the community. She is also on the Primary Care Network board and is non-medical education lead for the PCN. Jessica works closely with homes providing specialist Huntington’s Disease care. She has special interests in cardiology, frailty and palliative care.
