Ross Dobson

Paramedic and Safeguarding Specialist

Ross is a Paramedic and Safeguarding Specialist with London Ambulance Service as well as the Specialist Safeguarding Advisor to the College of Paramedics. He began his career with the Queensland Ambulance Service in 1999, stationed in a variety of locations including metropolitan, remote as well as a year in aboriginal communities. He then worked as a Paramedic in immigration detention centres, and as a Rescue Paramedic on mine sites. He moved to the UK in October 2015 and spent almost three years operationally on first response units and double crewed ambulances in northwest London before joining the Clinical Education Department in February 2018. He developed a keen interest in safeguarding and moved to the LAS Safeguarding Team in 2021. In his leisure time he coaches junior boxing.
