Hannah Ingram

Principal Lecturer in Independent Prescribing in Health Sciences

Hannah had extensive experience as a district nurse and an advanced nurse practitioner in primary care before commencing her academic career four years ago. Hannah is a principal lecturer and programme lead for independent prescribing in health sciences. She has 13 years prescribing practice experience and enjoys being able to facilitate others to undertake safe and effective prescribing practice within a variety of clinical and professional roles. Hannah has published in the field of district nursing and recognises the challenges faced by practitioners working in primary care settings and lone roles in the context of prescribing. Hannah has worked particularly with older people and in long-term condition management in her nursing practice, and has successfully facilitated a range of multidisciplinary healthcare practitioners to successfully complete the independent prescribing programme.
