Dr Mike Brady

Assistant Clinical Director of Remote Clinical Care

Mike Brady (PhD) is a clinical academic specialising in emergency, urgent, unscheduled, digital and remote care. A Consultant Paramedic by background, Mike is currently the Assistant Clinical Director for Remote Clinical Care for the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust and an Honorary Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science at Swansea University. He has been a lecturer in Emergency and Unscheduled Care, a researcher (gaining a PhD by research), an academic author and a clinical leader to nursing, medical and allied health professionals within emergency, urgent, unscheduled, digital and remote settings. Mike has specialised in digital and remote care for over ten years, clinically and academically, and he regularly undertakes clinical shifts in out-of-hours general practice. He has overseen and directly co-ordinated various large-scale programmes of change – especially in clinical digital systems – and he publishes and researches regularly.
