Rachel Pogson

Lecturer in Paramedic Science, Keele University

With over seven years of experience in higher education lecturing across two universities, and more than a decade of out-of-hospital clinical experience spanning two ambulance services, Rachel Pogson brings a wealth of real-world knowledge and teaching expertise to her work. Formerly a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Practice at Edge Hill University, Rachel now lectures in Paramedic Science at Keele University, where she also serves as the interprofessional education (IPE) Lead in the School of Medicine. Rachel’s extensive teaching portfolio spans a wide range of health and social care disciplines. She is deeply committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion through her wider roles within higher education. Holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education, Rachel has published work on healthcare education and is currently undertaking further academic study. Drawing on her background and experiences, Rachel is dedicated to supporting learners and advancing patient care through inclusive, evidence-informed education.
